Germany have qualified for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, which will be broadcast tonight (May 14, 2022).
Germany has already won the Eurovision singing contest twice in its history. Once in 1982 and the second time in 2010.
In 1982 the country won the competition in Harrogate with Nicole Seibert singing the song Ein bißchen Frieden (A Little Peace). The second time Germany won was in Oslo, when Lena Meyer-Landrut won with Satellite.
According to the bookmakers, Germany has a pretty low chance of winning in the grand final with odds of 200/1. But who is Germany’s bid for the Eurovision Song Contest this year?

Who is Germany’s entry, Malik Harris, at Eurovision 2022?
Malik Harris is Germany’s entry for Eurovision 2022. The 24-year-old singer has been writing songs on his guitar for over a decade and was born in Landsberg am Lech.
Malik Harris has a popular following with over 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify and is the first German-American artist to spend more than a week on a billboard in New York’s Times Square.
The singer has also supported international artists such as James Blunt, Alex Clare, Tom Odell and LP. Malik talked about his passion for music and how it stems from his family as his grandfather was an opera singer, his grandmother a pianist and his father plays multiple instruments.
It’s safe to say that music runs through his family. Harris released her debut album last year, titled Anonymous Colonist.

What song will Malik Harris sing at Eurovision 2022?
Malik will sing his song Rockstars at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Speaking about the song, Malik explained “it’s a song that has incredible personal meaning to me and offers a ray of hope in these tough times, while showing people that we’re all in this together.”
The Eurovision Grand Final will be broadcast live from 8pm on BBC One and hosted in the UK by Irish actor and presenter Graham Norton.
