You have the right to do what you want… Classical music, in my opinion, is really good for the soul. A lot of people think, “Well, classical music is for old fogies,” but I thought the same thing.
I didn’t want to know classical music when I was 16, because it was forced down my throat. But now I feel compelled to say to the students, “see, just give classical music a chance”. The guitar annoys me a lot because I’m not good enough to play it sometimes, so I get irritated and sullen.

Sometimes I feel like what I’m doing isn’t right, that the whole rock and roll industry has turned into a farce, like Billy Smart, Jr. Circus, and the only music that touch me is a truly disciplined classic. music that I can’t play. But there is a reason why I succeed.
It’s because I believe in what I do and I do things my way. I play first for myself, then for the public, and I try to give them the maximum. Finally, I play for the musicians and the band, not for the critics.
