Molly dunn, soprano, known for her full lyrical voice and striking stage presence, made her debut in 2021 as La Contessa in The Marriage of Figaro with the Morelia International Summer Opera Festival, Mexico. A true cross performer, Molly began her career in musical theater with credits such as: Amalia Balash in She loves Me, Rosa Bud in The mystery of Edwin Drood, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, and others. She is the winner of the 2019 Vienna Summer Music Festival Competition. She is the creator of Zombie Opera in Jersey City, and founder and artistic director of LUX Performing Arts.
Jaime Webb, coloratura soprano, is the Soprano Holland Community Opera Fellow at Opera Omaha where she is scheduled to sing scenes as Lucia and Cunegonde at their season opener. She was the soprano artist-in-residence for the University of Georgia Opera where she performed Norina in Don Pasquale, Lucie in Lucia di Lammermoor, and Rosine in Il Barbiere de Siviglia. During the 2020-2021 season, Webb made her debut as Susanna in Mozart. The Marriage of Figaro at the Morelia International Summer Opera Festival, Mexico. She also sang and performed in Masterclasses with Ailyn PÃ©rez, Danielle Orlando and Kristine Opolais.
FrÃ©dÃ©ric Schlick, the tenor, praised for his “tender power” (Opera Wire), holds a master’s degree in opera performance from the Boston Conservatory. He made his professional debut as Young Jim Thompson in Tom Cipullo’s Glory Refuse with Pensacola Opera in 2016 and later reprized the role with Tri-Cities Opera. The 2018-2019 season marked its New York debut with City Lyric Opera as Nemorino in Donizetti’s To elect it for love, Don JosÃ© in The Tragedy of Carmen, and Alfred in Die Fledermaus. In 2020 he sang Rodolfo in the Lancaster opera Bohemian and Opera in Florham in A Pomeriggio In Italy. He became a resident artist of the Nashville Opera in 2021. He lives in Westchester, NY where he is a music teacher and web developer.
Matthieu Ciuffitelli, baritone, is described as “truly a hymn of our time” by Classic FM concerning Matthew’s parody ‘Figaro’ among others as The opera guy during the pandemic. He appeared as Eisenstein in Amore Opera Die Fledermaus, Prince Yamadori in the New Jersey Festival Orchestra‘s Madame Papillon and like Angelotti in Tosca. He performed at the Sarasota Opera House as a resident artist as the official registrar in Madame Papillon. Matthew sang in the Broadway 10th Anniversary concert of A tale of two cities like Gabel. He played with the Rolling Stones at the United Center in Chicago. Matthew won the 2018 New Jersey State Opera Competition Award.
Zacharie Elmassian, baritone-bass, is praised for his “formidable voice” and his remarkable acting skills. A graduate of the Merola Opera Program, he sang Masetto in Don Giovanni, directed by Sherrill Milnes, Czech Republic. Zachary, a Florida Grand Opera resident artist, appeared in Don Pasquale, The Barber of Seville, and The passenger. Other roles include Gianni Schicchi; Don Alphonse in Tutti fan of Cosi; Ourson-Bah in The Mikado; and the pirate king in The pirates of Penzance. In 2014, Zachary attended Lorin Maazel’s Castleton Festival, singing the role of official registrar in Madame Papillon.
Marie pinto is a renowned accompanist and vocal coach who has worked with international opera singers and major US opera companies around the world. She is artistic director at the Opera of Florham. In 2021, Ms. Pinto coached and conducted stages at the Summer Opera Festival in Morelia, Mexico, and was a coach at the Queens Summer Vocal Institute. In the fall of 2020, she performed at the Black Opera Tribute in honor of Jessye Norman’s 75th birthday. She is on the faculty of Montclair State University and has vocal coaching studios in New Jersey and New York.
After the concert, join Mary Pinto at 8 p.m. with celebrity conductor Jason Tramm for her podcast, Music matters. Mary will discuss âThe Art of the Collaborative Pianist,â which will include reflections on La Vie de BohÃ¨me, the concert she arranged, conducted and performed earlier today. To agree here.
Opera at Florham also offers an autumn Opera lecture series with music teacher Lou barrella. The final presentation Explore dramatic scenes similar to cinema and opera takes place on Saturday, November 13 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Kremmerer Library in Harding, New Jersey. The conference is free. Walk-ins are welcome.
Opera in Florham, located in northern New Jersey, features professional singers in recital, concert and competition from opera to musical theater. Artists perform classics and rarities from opera and related musical repertoire, enriched with stories, stories and facts about the music.
A 501 (c) 3 non-profit founded 39 years ago, the mission of the opera company is to bring opera to everyone by delivering low-cost, high-quality events to the home and in the community; and supporting young professional singers through performance opportunities and singing competitions.
