Off-Brand Opera to kick off its inaugural season with INTO THE WOODS

Opera theater

The inaugural season of Off-Brand Opera kicks off with three performances of Stephen Sondheim’s Broadway fairytale classic Into The Woods, November 19-21 at Alchemical Studios (104 W 14th Street). In this production, Off-Brand Opera explores what happens when a diverse set of musicians bring their own styles and performance techniques to a classical show. The actors and pianists come from opera, musical theater, pop, folk and cabaret. What will happen when they bring their vocal talents and varied styles into the fairy tale world?

Into The Woods is directed by Christine Duncan, with musical direction of Erin Kennedy. Jake Landau is our conductor, while playing the piano alongside Tiehan Pan. Our production includes Stacey Canterbury, Camber Carpenter, Christine Duncan, Roderick Ferguson, Brendan Hartnett, Keyana Hemphill, EB Hinnant, Devandas James, Erin Kennedy, Anna Larranaga, Gwen Miller, Kristina Shafranski, Veronica Shea and Guanghao Yu.

Advance tickets are $ 20 to $ 30 (up to 2 hours before the show) and tickets are $ 25 to $ 35 at the door. Premium VIP tickets cost $ 45 and are available only in advance.
