The German Theater Chemnitz has announced its 2021-22 season with opera, dance and theater. For the purposes of this article, we will focus on opera and vocal performances.

Firsts

Wagner’s “Tristan and IsoldeWill be directed by Guillermo García Calvo and directed by Elisabeth Stöppler. The production will star Daniel Kirch, Alexander Kiechle, David Steffens, Stéphanie Müther, Daniela Köhler, Oddur Jonsson, Till von Orlowsky and Sophia Maeno.

Johannes Pölzgutter conducts new Mozart production “Die Entführung aus dem Serail” with Guillermo García Calvo at the helm of the cast led by Rolf Germeroth, Tatiana Larina, Marie Hänsel, Thomas Kiechle, Siyabonga Maqungo, Florian Sievers, Thomas Kiechle and Alexander Kiechle.
