Big Something released a full live compilation album titled Escape from the living room. The LP features a collection of tracks captured from the band’s favorite shows of 2020 and 2021, including a recording of their live gig at Ovation Sound Recording Studio and their first in-person show of 2021.
Highlights featured on the LP include a guest appearance by Too Many Zooz Leo P on saxophone on “Time bomband the Mountain Music Festival’s first performance of “Bob and Weave”, in Oak Hill, W.Va on June 5, 2021 – the band’s first live performance after a year of quarantine.
“It was a really special show,” Nick MacDaniels said of the Mountain Music Festival in a press release. “It was the first moment in front of a large audience since the start of the pandemic where I think we really felt a light at the end of the tunnel as a band and a team. And I think everyone in the audience there collectively felt the same after more than a year of not showing up. The energy was incredible. Live music can be such a powerful healing force for both those who experience it and those who do it and it was obvious we all really needed it that night.
Big Something is currently on tour and has dates scheduled through June 26th.
